My changes aren't syncing

Updated 2026-09-02

Meal Plan and Grocery let you make changes offline. Those changes queue on your device and upload when you're back online. The Meal Plan and Grocery screens show the status just under the header:

  • "N changes waiting to sync" β€” queued, will upload automatically.
  • "Syncing N changes…" β€” uploading now.
  • "N changes couldn't sync" β€” something went wrong; a Retry now button appears when you're online.

How retries work

ReciLore retries the queue automatically about once a minute, whenever you bring the app to the foreground, and when you tap Retry now. Pull to refresh also reconciles with the latest shared data.

When a change is dropped

Sometimes a queued change can't be completed β€” for example the recipe was deleted on another device, or someone else already made the same change. ReciLore discards it and shows a brief message like "A planned meal changed on another device. We kept the latest shared plan." Your list then matches everyone else's.

Nothing syncing at all?

Check you're actually online, then reopen the app. If it's stuck, see Resetting offline data β€” but read the warning there first, as it discards anything still queued.
