Terms of Service

Effective August 31, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and HaqLabs, an independent software studio ("HaqLabs", "we", "us"), covering your use of ReciLore, a household-first app for importing recipes, planning meals, cooking together, and preserving family food memories.

By creating an account or using ReciLore, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. These Terms describe how ReciLore works as of the effective date above.

Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding contract to use ReciLore, and you must be at least 13 years old (or 16 where local law requires). If you use ReciLore on behalf of a household, you confirm you are authorized to do so.

Accounts and households

You sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for keeping access to that sign-in method secure and for activity that happens under your account.

A household is a shared space. Recipes, meal plans, grocery lists, cooking history, and memories added to a household are visible to all of its members, and members may edit or build on that content. The household owner controls billing for the household and can transfer ownership or delete the household. Households are limited to a fixed number of members.

When you invite someone, you confirm you have permission to share their email address with us for that purpose.

Acceptable use

Use ReciLore only for its intended purpose and in line with applicable law. Do not misuse the service, including by attempting to break or bypass security or access controls, disrupting the service, scraping or overloading it, uploading malicious code, or using it to store or share unlawful, infringing, or abusive content.

Content you provide

You keep ownership of the recipes, notes, memories, and photos you add. You grant HaqLabs the permissions needed to host, store, sync, display, and process that content in order to operate ReciLore for you and your household.

This includes sending recipe text and video links to third-party services, such as an AI recipe-parsing provider and the YouTube Data API, solely to extract structured recipe data for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for having the right to add and share any content you put into ReciLore, and for what you choose to share with your household.

Recipe import and third-party sites

ReciLore helps you save recipes from websites and videos for your household's personal use. You are responsible for complying with the terms of the sites and services you import from. Recipe images from imported recipes are generally shown directly from the original website rather than copied by us.

If you are a rights holder and believe imported content should be removed, contact [email protected] and we will review the request.

Subscriptions and payment

ReciLore has a free tier with limits (including a cap on the number of saved recipes and on photo and data storage) and a paid plan, "ReciLore Full", which raises those limits for an entire household.

ReciLore Full is an annual auto-renewing subscription billed per household through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Pricing is shown in the app before you purchase (introductory pricing may apply for the first year, after which the standard annual price applies). Only the household owner can purchase, and one subscription funds exactly one household.

Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel your subscription in your app store account settings. Payments are processed by the app store; refunds are handled under the app store's policies and applicable law, and we do not separately provide refunds.

If a subscription ends, the household returns to the free tier. Content beyond free-tier limits is retained but may become read-only until you are back under the limits or renew.

Third-party services and app stores

ReciLore relies on services from Apple, Google, and our infrastructure and AI providers. Your use of features built on those services is also subject to their terms and policies. Your use of the app is additionally subject to the rules of the app store you downloaded it from.

Availability and changes

ReciLore is under active development and is provided "as is" and "as available". Features may be added, changed, suspended, or removed, and the service may be interrupted. We will try to give notice of significant changes where practical.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReciLore is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Recipe data, including imported ingredients, steps, and any dietary or allergen information, may be incomplete or inaccurate, and you are responsible for checking it before relying on it, especially for allergies or health needs.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HaqLabs will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of ReciLore. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Termination

You can stop using ReciLore at any time. Because in-app account deletion is not yet available, email [email protected] to request deletion of your account. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or applicable law, or to protect the service or its users. Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

Governing law

[Governing law and the venue for disputes will be set before ReciLore's public release. This section is pending legal review.]

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as ReciLore evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the app and on our website with an updated effective date. Continuing to use ReciLore after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
