The ways to add a recipe
Updated 2026-09-02
On the Recipes tab, tap +. You get three choices:
- Web Import — open a recipe page in ReciLore's built-in browser and tap Import Recipe. Works for most recipe sites and YouTube videos. See Importing from a recipe website.
- Quick Paste — paste recipe text you copied from anywhere. See Pasting recipe text.
- Write My Own — type the recipe in yourself. See Writing your own recipe.
There's no "paste a link" box
ReciLore doesn't fetch a URL you type. To import from a website you open the page inside ReciLore's browser (Web Import) and import from there. Quick Paste has an optional "Source URL" field, but that's just saved as a reference — it isn't fetched.
You need a connection
All three methods need internet. Recipes can't be imported or created offline.
The Free limit
Free households can keep 10 recipes at a time. If you're at the limit, delete one or upgrade — see The Free recipe limit.
